Out off season there is a good chance that people offer you accommodation and since most of the rooms are in Chora (the islands capital Panagia), you will be picked up at the port. Several new pensions have been built lately in Chora.

I consider Schinoússa to be a very calm island, at least off season. Chora is a pretty small village; it takes 2-3 minutes to walk the main street and sometimes you don't meet a single person.

Beaches

There are about 15 beaches on this island but unfortunately only half as much are worth visit. The other beaches are dirty by different reasons: garbage, oil or seaweed.
